Westport School of Music gives scholarships to Carver youth

The Westport School of Music gave two Carver students scholarships this year. Elementary students Jeffrey Ramirez and Philip Graham are the first to embrace the challenge.

The Westport School of Music, founded in 1938 by musician Marguerite Maxwell, is housed in Ms. Maxwell’s former Westport home. The school is a member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts. The school has 20 faculty members working with 300 students of all ages, and a devoted alumni roster in the thousands.

Carver is thrilled that such a renowned community partner would choose to focus its outreach and generosity on the great potential of Carver youth.
